RE: Eye Works Curacao
Dear Chello and Ellis,
Now that my real estate holdings in Curacao are sadly coming to an end I wanted to take a moment and send you and Ellis a note of appreciation for all that you have done for me, the house and plots that I owned.
Given the distances involved and the language barriers I can honestly say that I would have been lost without all of your help. I truly felt as though you treated my properties as your own and did what was in my best interests from money to be spent, the sale of the house and with regards to presenting the house for sale. I was very impressed with your surprise staging of the house. It made all the difference in the world when it came to selling the house. Even your surprise design touches and the accent colours you added to walls and ceilings improved the house tremendously. You also took the time to introduce me to local island real estate agents who helped advise me on the selling of the house which was helpful as well.
Furthermore, you were invaluable when it came time to renovating and re-constructing significant portions of the house not only in terms of coordinating and managing all of the work but more importantly in advising where my money was best spent and ensuring I saw value for the money I was spending. This included the pest control work, the kitchen and bathroom work, significant landscaping work that we undertook and the re-painting of the exteriors to freshen up the house and give it better curb appeal.
I also need to thank you for dealing on a very professional level with my tenants. I know they were a challenge and could be difficult at times but you maintained your professionalism and provided excellent service in terms of the on-going maintenance of the house, pool and the gardens. I appreciated how both you and Ellis were actually hands-on in the maintenance of the house and simply did not hire other people to do it. You are dedicated, committed and hands-on owners of your company and I admire and appreciate that.
All of this can be repeated with respect to the plots I owned. You were instrumental in giving me good advice with respect to their appearance, the positive and negative attributes of the plots and what should be done. You worked hard to convince me to clear the plots and get rid of the jungle which was expensive but worth it given that they sold shortly thereafter. You even helped me to get rid of the container which I had been avoiding and was unable to do. So thank you for that as well.
In summary, again my deepest thanks to you and Ellis for all that you have done. We have become good friends through all of this all and I truly respect you both as people and I respect your company and accomplishments. I wish you all the success in the world going forward.
